COTTON FELT (Papermakers)
This is a thick fabric, made from several layers of cotton cloth, up to 6-ply cloth is made, each ply with its own warp and weft, and all are stitched together in the loom. Special looms are used and the widths extend to 360-in. Printers' cotton blankets are made as above, but with finer yams.
